Run 4 the Children and Arts Festival

The boys and I had another busy Saturday.  Chip has not been feeling well for the past few days so he stayed in bed and is doing better after a day's rest.

Getting ready to the start the race....pushing 80 lbs is not easy.

Aden getting a "rocket ship" painted in his face.

Rainey practicing for a future career as a cowboy.

And finally, the boys checking daddy to see if he's feeling better.

Aden made himself comfortable underneath my desk and then fell asleep.

Rainey waiting on his 4 yr old shots.  He is 42 lbs and 42 inches.  My big boy!

Aden being a supportive brother at the doctor's office.

Helping me cook dinner.

He has a lollipop in his mouth.

I think he might still be tired from the shots this morning.  Just watching me grill.

Doc McStuffins

I entered a drawing a won a free screening of Doc McStuffins, a cartoon that is coming out on the new Disney Jr. channel.  She is a doctor who can talk to stuffed animals and help them.  The boys brought their favorite stuffed animals (a giraffe and baby bear).  We joined a few other friends at Adventure Kids and watched four episodes as we snacked on pretzels, marshmallows, popcorn, muffins, etc.  The boys were glued to the tv.  They loved it.  Thanks for Macaroni Kid and Disney Jr. for putting this on.

My boys in red, and Rainey's giraffe to the left.
Yesterday was kite flying weather...not sure why Rainey ran up the driveway but he was doing an awesome job flying his kite.

Above is a copy of Rainey writing his name...I think it is so cute!

Two parks and a picnic

Today's adventure took us to two new parks in Tomball (about 45 minutes from our house) and ended with a picnic and naps on the way home.

Cute boy!

First time they see-sawed together

Monkeys

Rainey was really good at this.  Swinging from one tire to the next.

Aden found the perfect spot to go #2.  There is a ladder inside and he kept telling the other kids to "go away" because he was busy.

Rosenberg Railroad Museum

I took the boys to the Rosenberg Railroad Museum with one of my mom's groups today.  It was fun.  We got to go inside a caboose, look-out tower, and a dining car.  We also got to see a large train model.  The man that made it worked on it for 25-30 years.  His caretaker donated it to the museum.  Afterwards, we all ate lunch at an old fashioned diner.

Train safety video before the tour...it featured a fox and a bird.

A real train passing while at the museum.

A couple of our friends, getting ready to board the dining car.  Aden is second on left in green shirt and Rainey is on the far right in gray shirt.

Dining car...Rainey is asking if he can eat the food.

Close-up of the models....all of the people were hand-painted.
