While strolling through the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart, Rainey found this...a Hot Wheels helmet. I had my back towards him and when I turned around he already had it on his head. It says for a 5-yr-old but fit him just fine :) A few minutes later, he grabbed my hand and walked me to the bicycle section. Not really sure where he learned that he had to wear a helmet while riding, because we don't when we take them in the bicycle trailer. I guess we better start. Oma and Opa, better get out the Big Wheel out of the attic!

9 month check-up

Aden had his 9 month check-up last week. He passed with flying colors. He is on formula 100% and doing great (Mom is enjoying this too). He has one tooth on the bottom and working on two on the top, but it will be some time before those come in. He has no desire to eat baby food so he eats what we eat. I guess that means we need to start eating more fruits and vegetables. What better reason I keep telling myself! He is pulling himself up and standing everywhere. We are practicing walking while holding both hands. He is ready to go but just hasn't figured it out yet. He is a fast crawling, chasing after Rainey.

Splash Day

Last Wednesday, Rainey's school had Splash Day. Parents were asked to bring jello, shaving cream, ice, large sponges, baby pools, etc. All the kids had a great time. I had Aden's 9 month check-up that morning so I wasn't able to see Rainey but was told he really, really enjoyed the jello!

Happy Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day last Sunday! We went to church and then packed up the boys for a hike at Brazos Bend. The weather was awesome!

Charleston

Last weekend, Chip and I went to Charleston for Ryan and Shannon's wedding. We had such a great time! We ate great food and just really enjoyed ourselves.

We left the boys with Oma and Opa for four days. When we returned, Rainey was saying "hit the ball"!
