Jaundice

Rainey was diagnosed with Jaundice.  We had a home health nurse come to our house and hook up a "bilibed" with an ultraviolet light to help.  He also had to give blood from his heel every day to make sure his count was lowering.

And he is here!!

George Rainey Giles IV arrived 4 1/2 weeks early.  Chip had already flown to Houston on March 2, 2008, to start work at his new employer.  Just 10 days later, Rainey decided to make an appearance.  I drove myself to the hospital that morning and my water broke in the parking garage.  Chip flew out on the first morning flight and made it in time for his birth.

Because Rainey was early, he needed to receive oxygen for a couple of hours.
