Whole Milk and Foward-Facing!!

Aden is now 100% on whole milk (since yesterday and loves it) and he is forward-facing in his car seat.  He can finally watch DVDs with Rainey or just look out the window.  I am a little early but I don't think he minds :)  I am so ready for our road trip to the coast in two weeks.

Aden is also walking with the assistance of one finger.  He is not letting go to take steps by himself but he is close to it.  He likes standing up next to the dogs and using them to hold on to.

On our way to lunch!

Coming home from lunch!

Coloring

Rainey's favorite past-time!  He loves sitting at the bar.  Me too, because it keeps the crayons away from Aden :)

Rainey is also talking a lot!!  He repeats everything you say.  He can put two-three word sentences together.  He likes to say "What is that?", "Where did it go?", "Let's go bye-bye".  My favorite phrase he says is "I love you", which sounds like "I woov you".

Horse

The boys got this awesome horse from our babysitter's parents.  They love it!  Rainey gets on and says "yee-haw" and "cowboy".  I think he learned that from The Backyardigans!

Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Rainey and Aden had their first experience in a brewery.  Chip took us yesterday to the Saint Arnold Brewing Company (http://www.saintarnold.com/).  It was really cool!  Every day (except Sunday), from 3p-4p, you can take a tour of the brewery or enjoy their brew for an hour at $1 each.  You bring your own snacks and/or games.  There were people their with Yahtzee, Dominoes, pretzels, cookies, etc.  Reminded me of a German Gasthause!

Rainey was enjoying their homemade root beer,
which was yummy!

Circus and Birthday Party

This past Saturday was busy for us.  We took the boys to the circus in the morning and then to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese that afternoon.  I don't know who was more tired....us or the boys.

San Diego

A couple of weekends ago, I was able to fly to San Diego to stay the weekend with my sister.  Chip's parents came into town to help watch the boys while he was at work.  I left on Thursday and returned on Monday.  This was my first "long" trip without the boys ever (Rainey was born 2 1/2 years ago).  Why didn't I do this sooner!

Our weekend was relaxing, which is just what I wanted.  We stayed at my sister's hotel on Mission Bay, and enjoyed the firepits at night by the bar.  On this particular weekend, the high was only in the 60's.  I couldn't believe I was wearing capri pants during the day and a sweater at night.  The weather was perfect!!!  I miss you Sis!!

This was taken in front of Blue Water Seafood.  I saw this place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Drives and had to eat there!  The fish tacos were awesome!!!

I always forget how low the planes fly over the city when landing and taking off.  This is a short video of a Southwest plane landing near where my sister lives.

July 4th!

We took the boys to LaCenterra for the fourth of July to listen to live music and let them play in the water fountains.  Rainey enjoyed ice cream and I enjoyed rinsing him off in the fountains.  I wished we had our video camera.  Rainey was getting down to the music.  Too cute!

Rainey is normally pretty good about telling me when he's ready to go "night night" (for naps as well).  But this particular day, he didn't make it to bed.

This one is funny!  Aden was sitting at the bathroom door for about 10 minutes watching me do my hair when I turned around and saw him yawning.  As I grabbed my phone and he yawned again.  I guess he wasn't that interested in how to curl your hair :)
