Mardi Gras 2013

I took the boys to Mardi Gras on the Mississippi Coast this past weekend.  Since Rainey will be starting kindergarten next year, this is probably our last Mardi Gras.  They remember Mardi Gras from last year at Oma and Opa's and were so excited.  They definitely had a good time.

 

Within 2 hours of arriving at Oma and Opa's, I had to get crawfish.  Aden helped me devour 5lbs!!  Rainey even tried a few.

Checking out all their loot!  We came home with two large reusable bags of beads.  I brought one to school and the teachers gave beads to ALL of the kids.

Mardi Gras is hard work!!

On this day, Rainey didn't want to go to gymnastics after school.  This is what happened 10 minutes after we got home.  He can sleep anywhere and everywhere!

Exercise

The boys are always asking to exercise with us.  Chip can't wait for them to do a triathlon with him...he will swim, Rainey will ride the bike and Aden will run.

Rainey is racing Chip after he came home from a long ride.  Aden is holding up the rear by running and wearing his helmet.  He still isn't interested in learning to ride his bike.

Rainey and Dudley

Dudley is the class mascot for Rainey's 4 yr old Dolphin class.  Every week, one of the students gets to bring Dudley home for a week.  They get to take pictures of him and write in a journal.  Rainey was so excited it was finally his turn.
