Park, park, baby

We (me, the boys, Becky and Maddy) were headed to Brazos State Park to "hike", see the alligators, let the kids play and have a picnic lunch.  When we got to the gate, the lady informed us the park was closed for a "controlled deer hunt".  We were so upset!  Not to mention, it was about 45 minutes away.  Thanks hanks to Jorge (Becky's husband), he found us a park on the way home that the kids enjoyed.  We didn't see any alligators, but the kids got to play and we ate our picnic lunch.

Traffic jam

Sliding with rocks in his hands

Tired baby

Putting the rocks on his face???

Being silly with his friend Maddy

Singing and banging their rocks on the merry-go-round.  You can barely hear Rainey.  Aden is just along for the ride.

Christmas party

The boys had their Christmas party at school yesterday, which was also their last day of school until the new year.  They enjoyed snacks and a gift (book) exchange.  It was difficult going back and forth from Rainey's room to Aden's room and vice versa but I made it work.  They both had a great time.

Rainey waking up from his nap...teachers said he was the only one to nap.  Now maybe if he stopped getting up at 530a, he wouldn't need such an early nap.  His friend was telling him "Rainey, your mom's here".  They get so excited when they see moms.

Aden was last one to wake up from his nap.
His teacher is coaxing him up.

Not really sure what's going on

Just like his dad...eyes shut for the picture

Checking out his new book too

Sick baby!

Aden was running a low fever Monday morning so he stayed home from school and hung out with Mommy all day.  I think it's a combination of cold, coughing, congestion and teething.  He's finally getting his seventh tooth in towards the back so it's a big one.  He's been working on it for over a week now.

Sound asleep on the way to drop Rainey off at school

Lovin' some straight apple juice,
since I usually dilute it water

Trying on Rainey's shoe

Still recovering

Did we do too much today?

As I'm posting on the blog (right now), I noticed it was really quiet in the house but the boys were still up.  Well, I thought they were still up.  Aden was playing behind the bar stools under our island and fell asleep on the tile...poor baby.  And Rainey was passed out on the couch.  Neither one of them made a sound before they feel asleep.  Mission accomplished today.

Snow!

There's snow in Katy.  Ok, not really but a local church has snow, Santa, cookies and hot cocoa, and a train ride.

My boys waiting patiently for Santa...

"My hands are cold"...well, yeah.

German Christmas Festival

We went to the German Christmas Festival in Tomball this morning.  The weather was nice, the food was great and the boys did awesome.  Both boys loved the pretzel but only Aden liked the bratwurst (and me, of course).

What a grill!
