Better than donuts!

I decided to take the boys to Chick-fil-a this morning for breakfast and to play before the rain comes in.  As we pulled in, I counted seven police cars and they were not there for an emergency.  As a friend said "I guess eating Chick-fil-a is better than eating donuts!"

Dinosaur Exhibit

I took Rainey and Aden to the zoo to see the dinosaur exhibit they have going through the summer.  As most of you may know, Rainey loves dinosaurs and he thoroughly enjoyed them!  Aden on the other hand didn't know what to think.

Oma and I took the boys to Chick-fil-a Friday morning.  They enjoyed the play area all to themselves.  Here's a little video of them dancing to the music.  Rainey is totally watching himself in the glass.  Don't forget to check out Aden in the background.

LaCenterra

After dinner at Baker Street Pub with Oma and Opa, we took the boys to this water area in the middle of LaCenterra (strip mall).  Rainey enjoyed some chocolate ice cream and running in the water with his clothes on.  The water was great...I just rinsed him on when he was done eating!  Aden was trying to catch the water.

One tooth wonder

Aden has had one tooth for a good three weeks now.  And there is no sign of any more to come in the near future.

First Family 5k

tThis is our first family 5k run (Houston Heights Run). The boys did great. Chip pushed them the entire run and was only 30 seconds slower than his normal time. Way to go!!

San Antonio/Sea World

This past weekend, we took the boys to San Antonio.  Saturday night we walked down the Riverwalk and ate at Dick's Last Resort (http://dickslastresort.com/).  If you haven't been, this is a cool place.  All of the waitstaff are rude and it's okay to throw paper/napkins at other patrons.  Rainey had a blast. 

Sunday we took the boys to Sea World.  It was so much fun!  We got there are 9:30a, saw dolphin feedings, sharks, the sea lion show, and the Shamu show (awesome).  At about 2:20p, while waiting for the beluga whale show to start, Rainey looks at Chip and says "night night".  He was ready for his nap.  We said goodbye to Sea World and off to the hotel.

We stayed at a Hampton Inn the first night in double beds.  Aden in his pack-n-play, me and Rainey in a bed (I was afraid he'd roll out of bed), and Chip in the other.  Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep.  The second night we found a Hilton Inn (Westover Hills) right next to Sea World.  We bought a single blow-up mattress for Rainey and upgraded to a king size bed.  Rainey loved having his own bed.  During the night when Aden was crying, we could hear Rainey saying "shhhh, shhhh, shhhh" but he wasn't awake.  Every now and then, we'd also hear him say "mine".  I guess he thought Aden was going to steal his bed in the middle of the night.  The hotel was having a movie and smores by the pool at 8pm.  We didn't make it.  Everyone was in bed by 730p.  Maybe next time.
