Sippy cups, straws and Chick-fil-a

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted. As most of you know, we are expecting our second child and Mommy hasn't been feeling very well. Mostly nauseous and very, very tired.

I wanted to breastfeed Rainey until he was 12 months but now that I am pregnant, I've started the process and it has been a challenging one. Since I stopped giving him his nightly bottle about 3 months ago (to increase milk production), he refuses to take a bottle at all now. I guess this can be good since he should be off the bottle at 12 months. After buying about 10 different sippy cups, I have finally found one he likes (Nuby with the silicone top - close to a nipple texture).

Earlier this week, he amazed me by drinking out of a straw from an apple juice box at Chick-fil-a. This was his first time eating there. I think he likes it as much as Mommy and Daddy :)

Here a few pictures and video to enjoy:

Who knew Cheerios tasted so good!!!

Who's that doggie in the window?
Look at those thighs on that boy!!

First time drinking from sippy cup with straw - YEAH!!!

Thoroughly enjoying his sippy cup...sorry video is sideways, just turn your head :)

Rainey and Maddy

Earlier this week, I dropped Rainey off at a friend's house while I took Dixie to the vet. Below are pictures of him playing with Maddy (Becky's daughter). I can honestly say I was a little jealous because he didn't look like he was missing Mommy at all :) He feel asleep in the car before we left the neighborhood.

Don't let the grass touch your knees

Wow! I can't believe it is 83 degrees outside and it's the first of January. What happened to the cold weather?
This is the first time Rainey has been on the grass since he has started crawling. I never expected to see this. He did not want to crawl on his knees. It was so funny!! As you can see from the video, Gunner is there for moral support.

Happy New Year from Rainey, George and JoAnne!!

Rainey cut two teeth over Christmas! The second one didn't bother him as much as the first (thank goodness). He no longer has that cute gummy smile, but now has this huge "toothy" smile. It is so cute!
